Hi Langman, How many Bill Gates will there ever be in a lifetime? Not too many I guess. So If you have the opportunity to be in school, I would encourage you to stay there and get your degree. Not many are lucky enough to get past high school because of financial difficulty. Education is still the best way to improve one's life, and a college degree paves the way for better chances in pursuing a career.

It depends on what your special interest is. In the computer technology field you don't necessarily need a college education but you do need certifications that prove you can do what you say you can do. There is still competition out there. Bill Gates is not the norm, by the way. He was in the right place at the right time and made the right moves. Not everyone is as lucky as he was.
