That sounds easy wicked, delicious, quick and wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing. Bananas were over $2.00 each last time I bought them and they were not nice. It's a great idea to have ideas for when fruit is a bit off so it's not wasted. Smoothies are good and now I have your idea too. YAY!

Around the time you posted this discussion, the majority of our banana crops were devastated by a hurricane. Hard to believe when they are grown from the mid NSW coast to most of the way up the Queensland coast. This is what we are told is the continuing reason for bananas being around $13 a kilo. They have come down at last to just over $7 a kilo this week - I would need a bank loan to buy bananas at this rate. Also, I'm on medication now that warns against too much potassium so bananas are out for me. They are anyway at those prices.

Hope bananas are down in price now. Bananas are quite cheap at the mo, I eat at least two bananas aday, they are so yummy and they fill you up as well. You can do almost anything with some ripe fruit, bottoms of trifles, crumbles, jellies and so forth. Glad that you liked my idea, even if it was so long ago.

This sounds delicious! And since chocolate, especially the darker kinds, actually have health benefits when eaten in moderation, this would make not only a delicious treat, but a healthy one, too. Thank for sharing it. I want to give it a try. karen

Hope you have tried this. Its funny of the things we have never thought of until someone says something and somethings are so simple you really wonder why we didn't think of them.

That sounds delicious! If I had an oven I'd try it :( If you feel like trying it too, I like sometimes slicing a banana and putting chocolate cream on it. It works great as a dessert too :) Bananas always taste great with chocolate, don't they?

That sounds delicious!!! My husband won a frut basket at a Christmas party the other night, and I went and bought some chocolate for fondue. We are going to have a fruit and chocolate fondue tomorrow afternoon, while we sit here and enjoy our favourite Serbian program. I agree with you about Chocolate and bananas.

My eldest son went to a party and there was a chocolate fondue, he spent the whole party standing by the fondue dipping strawberries nad other fruits in it. Luckily he wasn't ill.
