Fabulous deals at ebay.

We have to be really frugal this Christmas. There just isn't enough money... actually, there is no money. The money we spend is actually the bank's money. My husband's pay covers expenses and that's it. After that we're into the line of credit.
So I checked out ebay this year. I haven't been thrilled with using them in the past because I'm in Canada and even when I go to ebay.ca I get American sellers. That has changed since I was last there. Yesterday I used the "buy now" option to purchase a brand new ipod nano for $50 which retails at $150. I even got the colour I wanted. I am thrilled about this. The seller has 100% positive reviews and has sold 100 of these things so I am pretty confident I will get a good product.
I am bidding on something now. No one seems to be bidding against me... at least not yet. Bidding closes tomorrow night and so far I have the highest bid at $80 for an item that also costs about $140. I sure hope I get this item.
I am disappointed that the so-called sales are not out there in the retail world, and the no charge for shipping the sites are supposed to be giving aren't there either.
So, what's your Christmas shopping experience so far? Any great deals?

i have been buying all year for christmas but i guess the best deal that i got was buy one get one free. it was a pink cubic zirconia necklace that was $10 so i got a pair of earrings to match for free. they are for my daughter. i only bought a movie off of ebay this year and fortunately i am almost done my shopping.

There's 35% off all merchandise at Bluenotes today (Sunday) only, even if ordering online with code VIP35. Hopefully I'll be able to find time in my busy day to place an order. Then I could well be done my Christmas shopping.... if I get that item I'm bidding on.

I buy my stuff at Value Village or Goodwill. Obviously, I get "big ticket" items. That's not my idea of Christmas.

The online gremlins stole the "don't". I don't get "big ticket" items.
