| Have you ever used Voice Recognition software?  | | | |  I remember installing a copy of Viavoice 98 that came free with a computer magazine several years ago. The set up for the microphone was quite simple, but it took a lifetime to configure the software, which involved reading about 200 pages aloud to familiarise the program with my manner of speech.
Once the program was set up properly it was time to test it. I launched Microsoft Outlook and sent an email to my brother without the mouse or keyboard, which I thought was very impressive. I never used the program much and never reinstalled it when I reinstalled Windows.
Since the software I tried is now 8 years old, I wondered if anyone had used it since and how different it is now.

| |  I had a similar program several years ago on a different computer. I never took the time to configure it well. It was frustrating and I gave it up. I haven't had any more recent experience. Good luck, maybe it is better now.
