It has taken us over two weeks to find a gas man who has got the time to come out to see if we can have a gas cooker fitted easily in our house.A nice man came round and he was ever so helpful as well as cheaper than alot of the others,he is coming to fit a gas cooker as well as a gas fire for us on Friday,he is the only one that put in a quote as well as never let us down.It seems to me like there are people that do not need the work or just do not want to work.

Yes there are many persons who dont really want to work and has such there are quite sour when they come to work and even worse when they have to interact with customers. They often take out their displeasure for their work on their customers by doing a sloppy job or overpricing or not being willing to go the extra mile .Its shouldnt be an usual occurence when you meet a nice workman it should be the norm, happy though that you were able to resolve that situation quickly

Yes there are some people who just want to get their first paycheck and then they quit working. There are others who just want to get a paycheck but do not want to do the work that they need to do for the paycheck.

You want a real challenge, try getting a builder to do something! You can ring up thirty and twenty five won't even call you back and none of them will turn up. Seriously, they don't know me from Adam when I'm calling, I could have a million pound contract for them!
People moan about British Gas charging a fortune but when you are the only ones who show up I guess you can charge what you like!

I have noticed that too. We have a handy man who goes out of our way to help us out. When we first moved in here the people who had rented the house before we bought it did not take care of the house. The doors were wooden and over the years the doors would not lock and it was so easy for anyone to break in. My husband and I told the owner we had to replace the doors or else we were not going to buy the house. The owner bought the doors, but never told us it was our responibilty to put the door in. Well, not only did he not tell us that, he also did not measure the door and was told that the door was standard. It was not standard. We had to call a handy man in ourself and he put it in. He had to take out all the padding and it took him three hours to put the door in, but he only charged us for one hour of labor. He was so good to us.
