What is wrong with doctors??

I am getting more and more fed up with doctors and they way they treat their patients. They are supposed to care about their patients and treat them and help them stay healthy. I have had many many problems with doctors and health care in general and I am fed up. Just recently,I have witnessed another strike against them. Someone I know went to the doctors with chest pains and without being looked at, was told to leave the hospital because all they had was heartburn. Turns out, the person was having a heart attack and the outcome of the attack was made worse by the simple fact that they were not treated when they first sought help. Why on earth would a doctor tell someone with chest pains that they are having heartburn without double checking when they were obviously having a heart attack. This keeps happening over and over again and I am fed up with it!! When I have anything wrong with me, it has gotten the point where I am terrified to go to the doctors or to the hospital because I am afraid I will end up worse due to their neglect and uncaring nature. This is not right considering we are supposed to be living in a developed nation and in Canada, my tax dollars pay for health care that I am not getting!
