if the 2012 prediction is to come true then it's not just California that will sink. If it does not come true, there's still a chance that it will sink but that will take a very very long time. Global warming is already here and we've seen on TV that when the icecaps melt it's going to flood most of the low laying areas, California included. So there's always the possibility. The question is when. It will but when it happens a lot of us will no longer be around to witness it. Cheers!

i live in arizona and my teacher said that the elevation here is high enough even when the icecaps have all melted we are safe here. he said massive immigration will happen here.

I think eventually all the states that are surrounded by water from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean will one day be under water. I won't see it in my life time but maybe my grandchild will or her kids.
