We broke three ornaments putting up the tree this year. Each of boys dropped one, and I dropped one, my daughter did not break any. So how many ornaments got broke at your house while you were decorating your tree?

I have a lot of croched and felt ornaments so there is no chance of breaking. I have our tree up, but with the bad economy I may take it down this weekend. Things are so bad that I can not get into the Christmas Spirit. My husband's boss claims there is no money to give him more hours, but yet he hired two new employees both full-time. He has also cheated my husband out of pay claiming that he does not have to pay him beyond 40 hours every two weeks.

I am so sorry, I hope things improve financially for you guys. Try to enjoy your holiday inspite of it.

The glass orniments I did have are long broken and gone. We've invested in orniments and decorations made from other things than glass. Between the kids, storing them, and having cats it's not worth my money to try to keep something so fragile in my house.

most of my christmas ornaments for the tree are made of wood just because i am into the rustic/country look. i do put on glass balls but i dont have that many so usually one or none get broken each year.

I didn't break any, but then again, we have very few that are breakable. We bought a new tree this year, and had borrowed ornaments from his sister last year for the most part. This year I bought the red bows and some ornaments at our church Christmas sale. All I bought there were not breakable. Jasmine got a few for Christmas gifts from the others in the choir that are breakable. Marsha

Well while we were decorating our tree our little one broke one, then our daughter broke one, then my wife broke this really nice expensive one. Then while the tree was up our dog broke about 5 of them one of them being part of a 12 days of Christmas set my wife and I have had since we first go married. My wife was very upset about that one. We ended up having to put a gate up to keep our dog out of the living room.

We haven't finished putting up our tree yet. We realized that we threw away our garland last year after Christmas because it was getting really old. I need to buy some more before we can finish hanging our ornaments. We are usually pretty careful. Hopefully, we will get through it break free!

We bought some at the Dollar Tree and they were plastic so no breaking like at your house.
