Do you think a Macbook Pro can compete with other laptops spec wise?  

I've recently been looking at the Apple website and their products only to been blown away by their specs. I haven't payed close attention to the Macbook Pro, but the towers and simple Macbooks dominate the Dell counterpart. Apple is pricey in my book, worth it, but pricey. You could always find a store to custom build to your needs: more RAM and a better graphic card for gaming or more HD if you wish to keep movies on your computer. The customization makes it limitless. In recap though, I think you should be fine getting a Macbook Pro.

In my opinion apple products are stylish ones but as regards configuration you can see and find even other laptops with a good or equal configuration and less costly than apple ones!!normally apple like to define a kind of elite brand so in many cases you can pay even for brand you are buying and not only the single configuration or pc too!!I think if i must choose between a mac or pc i will choose a pc one also because apple softwares have a real close licence and so if you buy an apple pc you must afterthat pay for all software or even smll services...mmh..normally i suggest to check even other brands and configuration than single apple products in this eay you can take your decision and not spend to much for a pc that have a good configuration but equal to other cheaper!!
