Favorite Christmas Song  

Silent night for sure! I like the lyrics and the music that goes on with it is really pretty i think. I could listen to that song in the middle of summer!

I love Frosty The Snowman I don't know why it doesn't really have a meaning for me I just love the somg and I love snowmen!

I like the old favorites...White CHristmas...Silent night...Away in the Manger...I especially love Away in the Manger as it's one of the first songs the little ones sing at their Christmas programs!

Mary Did You Know is my favorite song. When we fill the CD changer with the Christmas CDs we tend to go with Kenny G, Clay Aikens actually put out a good christmas album last year. Tricia yearwood has one of my favorite holiday albums too.

I just had to answer this - Christmas is my husband's favorite time of year. Traditionally he starts listening to Christmas music after his birthday: Sept. 29 :) His favorites are Mannheim Steamroller and Trans Siberian Orchestra. Overall my favorite is Bing Crosby, even, or perhaps especially, the odd ones - like Christmas in Killarney and Mele Kalikimaka. The traditional hymns are also important to me, the ones mentioned in some of the other responses, but also some less well known: I Wonder as I Wander, One Small Child (which I think I've heard performed only by Point of Grace - maybe); beautiful melodys on both of those. Also a great melody - Do You Hear What I Hear? This year I've heard some new ones listening to our local Christian radio, and I don't remember all the titles or authors, but one I've liked is Sometimes Christmas Makes Me Cry with Mandesa and Matthew West (I think). It isn't as sad as it might sound and I like that it does take into consideration that Christmas has different meanings for people. I do so enjoy the music of the season;)
