More than once I have walked into an office and thought the receptionist was talking to me. I go to answer her and realize she is talking on a headphone to someone else entirely. Has this ever happened to you?

LOL..yes..this has happened to me. It also reminds me of this one time when we had break at work..I went to the restroom to wash my hands and from the stall I hear someone say..what are you doing. I start talking aww nothing much just ready to get out of here today..lol..then they come out of the stall on a cell phone! Out of the stall!! I was a bit embarrassed and appalled at the same time. Noway i would be on the phone while I was using the bathroom! LOL.

It happens often at the insurance office. I also have this same weird experience walking around the store and people are using their bluetooth headsets. Look like really ugly earrings. Strange feeling to answer someone who really does not even know you exist.

Maybe, once or twice but not too often. If I'm getting eye contact from them then I think they are talking to me.

Has this ever happened to me? Haha all the time, and the person he is on the headphone would look at me weirdly. I also hate when people call my name( I have a commone name) but they are not actually calling me and I would turn around and say " What do you want".

I used to have a guy come up behind me at work. He would be asking questions and I was a higher level than him so I thought he needed help. I would just start to answer and realize he was talking on his blue tooth. Ugh!

I see it all the time when people are driving. I think they are looping it, but then you realize, they are talking on their earpiece. It is somewhat comical, though.

Yes and I hate that. I always feel so stupid and it is so embarrasing. I have also had that happen in stores where people are walking around talking on those stupid things and you think they are talking to you and you actually answer them. I really hate that. I hate that people can not seem to seperate from their mobil phones for 5 minutes. Personally I hate talking on the phone myself, so I only make calls when I have to for some reason.

Yes. It is most annoying. Once upon a time, a person that appeared to be talking to thin air was given medical treatment. Now it is encouraged with all sorts of technology. I however do not ever feel silly for being in this situation. It is not my fault the person is not giving me the attention I deserve as a patron/customer/client.

Oh yes this has happened to me.It is when i go to the drs they have their headsets on taking calls aswell as trying to sort out the que of people that are waiting to be sorted out.I find it funny sometimes as the older generation are hard of hearing and they also think that the woman with the headset on is talking to them aswell.

It is funny unless you are in a hurry or really need to communicate with someone.

Kind of. When people are on their blue-teeth, sometimes I think they are talking to me. I inevitably wave back at the person waving to the person behind me. And, I start saying "hi" on the phone when someone's voicemail is actually talking to me, mistaking it for a live person.
