When I was still stuying, I've a classmate who's quite strange family name that often caught ones attention, it's "Tamad" in English it means lazy. Our professor often called us by our family name, so it goes like Mr. Tamad, (Mr. Lazy why didn't you finished your project?) And we can't help not to laugh,even our professor himself. How about you, do you found your family name as something that's noble, funny or just typical? Do you like it?

Well you must have a quite known family name and that gives you a credit. There are some people who's family name is known and used by rich people. Although they're not related with those person sometimes they can have an easy access, and experienced VIP treatment. My sister's friend did experienced that, her family name has the same with our president, and she's not related. Often when she process her papers she got it fast compared to others. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

It's funny, I was just thinking about how I don't like my last name. I find it's too typical and everyone hears my last names and asks me rude questions or if I'm related to so and so, and I don't even know the person. I like my mom's maiden name. I also don't like since she got a divorce, we've never had the same last name.

Oh, it could be annoying sometimes when people asked you questions about your family name, because I also experienced the same thing as yours. Some people even compared me with person who has the same family name with me. Though I didn't know them. But sometimes I get used to it and just smile. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

hi careguarden!
yes i do like my family name. can't see any reason why i shouldn't. it is a common spanish name so it isn't really a big deal for me.
lol at your story!!! yeah, if i was stuck ith that family name, i'll be kinda embarassed too. anyway, i always think your classmate should do something positive about this one like be successful in life so that his family name won;t be associated to it's meaning but rather to success.
just my two cents.
cheers!!!

hi careguarden^^;;
hahaha! i've wished so long to have my family name changed. and fortunately it did this year and my hubby's family name is much better though it's common.
however, my family is also unique and sometimes funny when associated with other words..though i am proud of it because of my father but sometimes it's awkward when i do registration for something and they have to announce my family and they are having difficulty
