How did dec 25 came about as birth of the lord Jesus Christ and thus Christmas when the specific date of the birth of christ isnt mentioned anywhere in the Bible.Merry christmas in advance!
I wonder how long Christmas has been celebrated on that date. i dont think it really matters what day you celebrate Christmas on as long as you keep Christ in Christmas as the focus of the holiday.
Most likely because it coincided with or was near to a lot of other pre-Christian celebrations such as Yule and Saturnalia - often based around the Winter Solstice.
