I just heard that As The World Turns is going off the air! It was my favorite soap in the 80's! First guiding Light and now As The world Turns?! I will never forget how evil James Steinbeck was.Or how Tom and Margo were meant for each other .nd how Bob and Kim have stayed together. And the great love affair of Lily and Holden. I liked As The World Turns because they took on real ans current storylines. It had a sense of truth flowing through all the "soap" storylines.I must confess I haven't been watching a in a long ,long time.i stopped because of a stupid storyline I can't even remember now. It is so sad to see it go.

I found this out yesterday too. I use to watch it religiously for years and I too quit watching it after Carly and that whole bunch joined. I use to think Barbara was so pretty. I loved her hair. I could never where my hair that short and look that good.
I agree, it will be missed. I guess this is something that could potentially happen to all the shows. I much rather watch a soap than a reality show. At least on the soaps you know the fantasy is just a fantasy and not the truth!!

I started watching when Barbara and Margo were fighting over James. Barbara was and is beautiful. I ather watch soaps with good , truth based storylines. Thi is so sad.

I just saw As The world Turns yesterday and Barbara looks Exactly the same! She is spying on another character that has her old love letters she wrote to James.

I have occasionly watched part of it as it used to be on when I was fixing my lunch. Now it is on when GL used to be on so it is still just occasionally that I see part of it as was the case with GL. One of my favorite actresses, Peyton List, came from being on there. She is now on Flash Forward but her part is not as big as I would like.

I know Julianne Moore because Of As The World Turns. She played a dual role and she was great!

it is sad to see it go
not as sad as when Guiding Light went off the air though
I knew it was only a matter of time after GL went that other soaps would follow
daytime soaps are a thing of the past sadly
