fake or real Christmas trees? |
| |
| Do you prefer to have a real tree or a fake tree? I tend to put up a fake tree, but i cant wait to get a real tree. Fake trees take a lot less work and are much easier to put up and take down. Which do you prefer and why? | | | | | |

| | I have never had a real Christmas tree. However, when I was young I always wanted one. But the house that I owned had a wood burning stove so I was afraid that it might be too dangerous. I ended up getting a really nice fake Christmas tree on Clearance sale one year after Christmas, so I have stuck with that ever since. I do have some friends that go out and cut a real tree every year. It is a great tradition. The whole family goes to the farm to pick it out and cut it down. I think it is great that they do that with their kids. I am sure that will be a tradition that their boys continue down the line with their kids after they are grown! | | | | | | |

| | well my family loves the smell of a real tree but since i cannot smell and hate the needles always falling off (and me being the one who ends up cleaning it up!) plus the cost of a real tree (upwards of $30- here in canada), i will stick to my fake tree (which we put up this year.) | | | | | | |

| | We always use a fake tree. We have 2 small children and 3 young cats, and none of them can leave the tree alone, so the pine needles could be dangerous if we had a real one. Plus they fall off and get everywhere, I remember my mum buying one when I was younger and it was more mess than its worth. | | | | | | |

| | I love real Christmas trees but it is so hard to fine one that looks really good and is just right. I bought me a very nice fake one this year and it looks like it already has been snowed on. It is an Alaskan Pine. | | | | | | |

| | I don't think my family has ever had a real tree before. I know my husband's parents have gotten real trees in the past, but they are a hassle. Now some trees come with lights already on them so it's easier to put decorate the tree without having to worry about the Christmas Lights. We have a fake prelit tree... and it does save a lot of time from having to put up all the ornaments. When my husband and I get our own place we may get a real christmas tree the first year, but after that I am sure we will buy fake. | | | | | | |
