Looking after parents is a must.

It is our parents after all who have nurtured us all through their prime life and its our bounder duty to repay them by looking after them very well in their advanced age. This is the greatest gift we can give them instead of locking them in homes for the aged!

hi cudamani, yes you are right , it is our responsibility as children, to look after our parents and not sending them to home for the aged. i wonder why some people prefer their parents to be in home for the aged rather than looking after them? if they are both working, they could hire a nurse or somebody to look after their parents at home.
It is the duty of any of us whose parents need the support of their children. It is God's command to take care of their parents when they are old.

Hi cudamani, Unfortunately not everyone feels as you do, yet what you say here is true. We must remember of course that in today's society not everyone can do that and some just aren't well enough themselves. My parents did not have to go in a home and I'm thankful for that. Blessings.
