Dear myLotters. Countries and cultures in different parts of the world dance and perform various types dances. Really so beautiful and enchanting ! For me, in our culture, among the different types of dancing, waltz is my favorite. I like the waltz music and enjoy dancing too. How about for you ? Which would you say is your favorite dance ? To dance or to watch ?

i dont know how to dance. when it comes to dancing i suck big time. i have two left foot as what they say. har har har. but funny for i have an aunt and an uncle who are professional dancers. they even paired and joined the dance fever during thier teenage years. i know they won back then so they are really popular as professional dancers. my uncle still dances professionally but my aunt stopped already to take care of her family.

There are a lot of folk dances here in my country. Every region has its own folk dance which tells the story of how it came about or its tradition, courtship, or tribal feuds or when they have a bountiful harvest. Each have their own colorful and fascinating costumes. Learning to dance these folk dances is not an easy thing to do.I know one folk dance which is the "Pandango sa ilaw", where dancers have vigil candle glasses on their heads and hands while dancing. But what i love to do is dance the foxtrot and swing. Dancing is one of my favorite things to do, aside from singing, cooking, reading and playing volleyball.

Hey greenline! I just love to dance and always have! I grew up
with parents who always were dancing (when they weren't fighting)!
They would do the samba, merangae, salsa, cha cha, and whatever
else! Not so much waltzing though! I do think the waltz is a
beautiful dance to watch when done to perfection! As for me,
I am more of the salsa, and "get down and dirty type dancer"!
I have always kept up with all the current dances, even now at
my age! I wish I was younger and could move like Beyonce, because
in my younger days I could shake it and bend! Even now my friends
can't believe how I can still shake it and get into positions
like some of the "younger crowd"! I still like hip hop and rap
music and will shake to it whenever I get the chance! Put on some
Latino music and I'm there!

I love the classic Spanish dance because it is so dramatic, it reflects the social culture of Spain, I just love it and here in the Philippines, Spanish dance is very common during fiesta celebration. Dancers reenact the Spanish courtship style, their attitude and traditions. But of course I love Philippine folk dance too.
