at tea time everyone feels like having something, something little, tasty, something to much, something to eat but not too heavy. i usually take rusk or two biscuits with my tea or coffee or if i am having some more urge of eating something out then i prefer to have a wrap like something with all healthy and non-fatty items stuffed in it. i alos love to eat South Indian dish called Dosa . it is very light and is made without any oil. i love to have it with coconut chatni which is made by grinding or shredding or crushing the fresh coconut and mixing in green chillies, salt and garlic sometimes for taste. its healthy and tasty.

hai aweins!is dosa your side dish for coffee?LOL!Well, everybody can have their own choice.I prefer some biscuits or bread slices with tea or coffee. And sometimes I like some savouries to add charm to the coffee. But I don't like to dip these items as some people do.First finish off the snacks and take the coffee or tea is my style.

We call it here "meryenda". I usually have a banana-que or turon or squid balls or kikiam. Whatever is available. Banana-que is a type of banana, we call it "saging na saba" which is cook on an oil with brown sugar. With turon, it is still saba put inside a wrapper. The one use in making pork shanghai. I love it because it is healthy and at the same time very affordable.

My favorite tea time snacks, is a south Indian dish called vada and bonda or bhaji. These are usually made with crushed rice and lentils, and are fried in hot oil. I usually take them with coriander or coconut chutney. I do not like to take dosa or idly in the evening, and I prefer them as my breakfast.
Some days, I have a plain cake or pastry with my coffee.

We don't have an official tea time here, but I do have a snack in the afternoon usually. Unfortunately I really like my chocolate in the afternoon and I will tend to go for something chocolate, which I really should not do. Sometimes I will have pretzels instead, or sometimes I will eat fruit snacks. If I am being good I will eat an apple with a little peanut butter.

Tea always tastes better with snacks, isn't it?
I like eating cookies with my tea. Sometimes coconut cookies, sometimes the ones filled with chocolate cream. I also enjoy eating some chocolate with them.
