I've read the book several times. I love it, if you understand its text compared to other prophetic texts which speak of the same end of days that is to come sometime in the future. The most mysterious part of these prophesies is that it is unclear the exact time frame of which these things are to happen, and also in what order they are to take place in.

One could say that during the seven seals in revelations also the seven trumpets are taking place, or that one of these events come before the other, or in a certain pattern. Some could say that these things have taken place already, and some could argue that they are still to take place.

My method of study on this topic is compare and contrast revelation to other prophetic writing to see which ones could possible related to the others, from there use process of elimination to cancel out the unrealistic possibilities and those which dont have any other writing to back up their validity.

This process is a little more complex, but I think I gave the basics to begin your studies into this matter. Please get back with me on some sources of research you used, maybe you could direct me to some new sources of information. I will do my best to do the same.

It has been prooven that Revelations was written for the time it was written. There is NO proven correct prophecy, only backdated events by inventive modern man.

I wish I'd written the book of revelations.

To be fair, I bet I could do a good job of imitating it - all I'd need is a lot of pent-up anger, and a boat load of hard drugs...

It was clearly written by someone completely stoned. I don't think it's going to happen, any more than I think a giant marshmallow is going to flatten Everest and save us all the bother of climbing the f*cker.

It's just mediocre fiction, at the end of the day (no pun intended). There's loads better to read.

Scared? I used to be. In fact, I had read the Revelation of Jesus Christ four times before committing to Christ. However, I am no longer scared. Either the Church will be removed (raptured) before that time, or if He wills we go through, He will keep those who keep His Word.

And, this is no gamble. It is going to happen. Israel was restored as a nation in 1948. The clock indeed is ticking.

I am not sure that knowing what the future holds is a good thing for some people.
It keeps them pent up and worried but not enough to do something about it. Now, I like to know what is coming so I can plan according. I don't believe that people are going to be raptured off the earth so as not to feel or see the pains the earth is going to go through because of their wickedness. There does seem to be a promise for those who have the Seal of God that they will not experience the 7 last plagues but they will still be here. The children of Israel did not experience all of the 10 plagues so I believe that we can be spared the 7 last plagues also.
