Event of 2009?  

It's hard for me to say but if I had to list the biggest events of 2009 it probably go something like this:1.Micheal Jackson's sudden death 2.Tiger Woods cheating scandal 3.President Obama going back on his promise to pull the troops out of harms way.

I didn't hear about the murder... guess it wasn't extensively reported in my part of the world, or I wasn't alert enough in reading the news.

I was very sad when I heard that Jon and KAte split, espeically since they had such a lovely family. i feel the most for the children. and i still had hopes that they would see a marriage counsellor and get things sorted out since they were christians.

but I guess it was too late from their perspective.

for me, that was one of the more significant events of 2009 on the saddening front.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest events of 2009 was also one of the worst things to happen to our country here in the United States...I am referring to Obama taking office as president. This is a terrible thing for our country, because Obama wants to turn us into a Socialist nation, and some of the decisions he is making is going to make it much easier for Muslim terrorists to attack America...

It's hard to believe so much has happened in the last year and yet it has gone so damn quickly, I think personally for me a great joy was seeing the first black president as well as the sad news of the death of Michael Jackson. For most he will be greatly missed and a great icon in the pop world. I was also saddened to hear the death of Bea Arthur who played Dorothy in Golden Girls, she was a wonderful actress and will also be sadly missed.
