Sometimes because of so many undying reasons we forget or neglect to go to church on Sundays, do you feel guilty about it? Is it an obligation for us to go to church always?

I don't go to church anymore since I'm atheist but back when I was 13 and thinking about becoming an atheist I went to church just to make sure I was making the right decision. It's part of the reason I get really mad when people say I don't know what I'm talking about when I started talking about why I don't believe anymore. It's kind of like people just want to assume we're ignorant because we're atheist, except I see it the opposite way. We're atheist because we've studied things and thought about things rationally.

Being an atheist is not rational considering the size of the universe and the size of earth and the way nature works. Humans are not alone in the universe aliens exist. Aliens are more advanced than us even though we would like to think that we are smarter than every creature in the universe we are not this place has already been maped out why wouldnt it be? How do you know there are no living creatures in outer space that didnt play a role in our development? Thats like a roach not believing in a waterbug just becuase he never seen one. If you are an atheist then you dont know why we are here do you?....Of course not, but I know why.

Hello DenverLC, Good day to you. Well, I go to church every sunday because a good christian know that he/she must go to church and pray everysunday. It's one of our obligation and because sunday is the day where we do no have a lot of work. As I know we must give time to go church.. As i remember the saying ''seven days with out prayer makes one weak'', this saying really inspire people to go church everysunday. By the way, I think the reason why there is so many people do not go to church is they believe that even though they don't go church it's fine as long as they keep on believing on it. Faith really works as long as it's stay on their heart and believe. Hope you get my point.

If you do a little "church" research, you'll find out that WE are the church and so we can't literally "go" to church, we only go visit with other members. I think it's good to fellowship, but it's more important to know God for ouselves!

To tell you the truth, I haven't been to church for a couple of months! It's pretty bad, but I just haven't had the patience or time to deal with all of that stuff right now. The people in the church itself are so judging! I only wish that there could be a place for me to go without having to worry about what people will say to me, really!

Hi munchiez117, well as you said you do not go church everysunday and you do not feel guilty about it. I guess the reason why you do not feel guilty is your faith and stays in your heart even though you do not go church everysunday.. But i think? If you do have some free time try to visit still.

I haven't gone to Church on Sundays for 50 years. I was born Presbyterian, and went to Church every Sunday with my parents until I was old enough to think for myself, at which time I took exception to the Theology. Jesus wasn't interested in making Money. He placed value on other things. The Church is the Richest, most Powerful Business Organization on Earth, and it is content to sit on that wealth, and let the poor Children of the world starve.
