I like eggs a lot and I can cook them okay, there pretty easy to work with. What's your favorite way to eat eggs? A little while ago I tried making this thing called "eggs in a basket"(a slice of bread with the center cut out and an egg in the middle) they were pretty tasty and my sister loved them! BUT the bottoms were sort of burnt - it took quite a while to get the yokes solid. Is there a way to make the whole thing cook more evenly? Any tips will be very appreciated!

My favorite way to eat eggs is with rice. Boiled, Scrambled, Sunny-side up, whatever. Serve it with rice and i'll eat it. Sunny side up, i like the yolks runny.

I concur, rice and eggs is like awesome. Any kind of rice is better with eggs. I think it is the asian influence in my DNA or something, because everyone has always looked at me like I'm crazy when I do this.

My favorite is eggs benedict. Salmon eggs benedict, yum! I like to make fritatta, because it is versatile. You can put whatever you want in it so it can be breakfasty, lunchy, snacky/brunchy, or dinnery. I have tried eggs in a basket, really it is simpler to do overeasy/overmedium on toast, same thing minus the hole. I don't think there is such a thing as a totally solid sunny side up egg. Unless you want the whites to burn the yoke is going to be runny. Sunny side up eggs are for people who like runny yolks. YOu can get an egg to solidify by covering it in the pan with the lid on and then killing the heat, but it still will be not fully cooked.

I can't believe I came across this question because I am planning on making eggs in a basket for supper tonight. My kids have always loved them and so do I. Did you butter the bread before you put it in the pan? I've always done it that way and find that it works a lot better than just putting the bread in a pan with oil. Also, break the yoke with a fork after you put it in the hole in the bread. This will help it cook more evenly, unless you like runny yokes, then just leave it as it is. Don't flip the bread over until you see that the egg in the hole is fairly firm. If you flip them too soon the egg will run out and make a mess. Try cooking them on a lower temperature too.

Hi UpsideDownPineapple! I like egg rolls on my bento box. Just make layers on a non-stick pan and then roll the first layer, then add another layer then roll again.. LOL! I just love eating them. Boiled eggs are the easiest to cook. I also love boiled eggs. Happy mylotting!
