How Much Snow Did You Get?

Where I live in Matinsburg, WV (between Winchester, VA and Hagerstown, MD) we got a god 18 inches of snow on Saturday. Most people are saying that's a record for how quickly the snow accumulated.
I hear some places got close to 2 feet! Do you live in an area that got hit by the blizzard? If so, how much snow did you get in your neck of the woods?

Whoops, think something went wrong with the post submission. Wanted to say: Im from Holland. We had a lot of snow here and well we have learned our lesson. My mum has a scootmobile and well she forgot to put it in the safe, as a result of that it got snowed under and I was given the rather squalor task to dig that thing out of the snow and put it in the safe. Lesson learned: Don't forget to put it away before snow starts to fall next time.

Yes, Houston. It already snowed here, for about 3 hours, it was gone the next day, heck it melted by that night.

I'm in Northern Virginia and we got 18 inches too.I'm off work today. It started snowing Friday night at 9pm and didn't stop until Saturday night! Hopefully I get to work tomorrow.Do you have to plow your road yourself or will it be plowed for you?

We had PART of our road plowed early this morning. Good thing, because I had to be at work by 8:45 this morning. Saturday we were supposed to work but they closed all the offices in the region, thank goodness!!
Good luck getting out tomorrow. Do you have your road plowed? I am grateful we have a garage so our cars didn't have to be dug out. : )

I don't have a car where I live the main road is plowed but the side streets? Not yet. I rent a house and the maintenance crew is suppose to shovel the sidewalk. If they do that,I'll be able to get out to the main street.

Wow, that's a lot! Today was my first day out as well, and they FINALLY plowed our street early this morn, but my boyfriend had to work yesterday in Howard County, so he left early yesterday afternoon.

I live in Northern Georgia. Two weeks ago it was 70 degrees. We had ice on Friday. By the time it crossed the border into North Carolina, they were having 15-18 inches of snow. I'm soooooo thankful that we didn't have 15 inches of snow. We don't have the equipment here to clear 15 inches of snow. In 1990 we had 2 feet of snow & I was trapped in my house for 2 weeks. The roads were so deep with snow I couldn't get out of my driveway!!! I used to live in Manassas VA & I can't imagine what it is like there now with 18 inches of snow on the ground. Yes, they have equipment to clear the roads, but it's still dangerous with the snow melting during the day & refreezing during the night. If you love snow...like some people here...CONGRATULATIONS!!! If you're like me & don't enjoy snow, I hope it's gone soon!!! During our ice storm on Friday, I came home early & didn't leave again until late Saturday after it had begun to clear up!!!

We got totally blizzards for about two days, then the snow-plows came and fixed up the roads and the sidewalks, and all has been clear ever since. We hasve just enough snow for a white Christmas, but not so much that it gets in our way. I hope we don't get any more snow, and that it all melts on December 26th.

Hello. We got plenty. Much more than the usual ! It is going from 1 cm to 100 cm depending on the locality. This is record breaking in some areas. Storms, blizzards, fog, and so on. Gets very dangerous to drive to with the roads and highways covered with snow and ice. Gets very dangerous even to walk along the roadsides !

Two feet of snow. Then the next day the snow melted. It was fun while it lasted. I had enough snow to make a snowman. The snowman wasn't big or anything like that. It was a small snowman. It was cold too. I had to put on thick gloves to keep my hands warm. I wore a scarf and hat. one day later it got warm where I don't have to wear gloves and hat anymore to stay warm.

I'm in WI. We didn't get a dumping in the past few days. We got our dumping abt 10 days ago. But it's looking like we'll get more on Christmas eve... possibly a bad one too.

No, the blizzard didn't make it all the way here.
But we did have our experience with snow two weeks ago, one whole inch! :-)

Hello my friend Bethany1202 Ji,
Well, we do not have any snow-fall in our area.Welivein plains of great river Holi Ganges. It is biting cold tehse days. Mercury dips tozero deg cels. after mid-night and we always remain with fire, our houses are not warm and they are all exposed to all weather conditions. But I will take you back to Decemer 04 , 2003.
We were on visit to NY/New Jersy for 4-5 days, and to my surprise, we witnessed almost 2 ft. snow, as it was removed to clear our car . It was a very strange experience for me. But we ejoyed.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Actually I don't live in a place that gets snow. Infact, it barely even rains here. I wish it at least snowed and rained a little bit more. That would be so nice! But unfortunately Southern California rarely gets either.
