I hope everyone isn't real attached to Tucker!!

I just read in the cbs newsletter that the roll of tucker is being recast and that as of January 27..Tucker will be played by Steven Nichols who used to be on Days of our lives. I have never watched days, will this make people happy or was he such a creep you won't be able to accept him in the new roll?

Oh no!! Patch as Tucker? yuck! I am sad . I like this actor playing tucker now. this is the type of move that would make me leave but I think I will just ignore that storyline and focus on ther rest. If I change the channel each time the storyline appears maybe the ratings will go down a little and ther will get the message.

It has been along ,long time since I saw Patchon Days.Ithink the same charcter is on Days but is being played by another actor. I remember Patch started out being a bad boy but fell for Kayla and became a good guy.

Patch? Is that who this Nichols guy was on Days? Was he a good guy? Maybe they won't show alot of he current guy between now and the switch so people don't get used to him.
I finally remember where I saw the guy playing tucker before..It was a comedy show, he worked in a grocery store was married with 3 kids, they lived next door to the school principal..one of his kids was named cory and cory's best friend was shawn, I think it was on in the 90's but I can't remember the name of the darned show, it's been nagging at me off and and on since I saw him on y&r.

Darn! I thought this guy had a good persona about him. Not bad looking either. But, it is a soap. How often do you see them cast older looking men? They all have to be GQ eye candy. Which don't get me wrong.. It works for me but is not very realistic. Will be good for Jill's character since she is starting to really look old. Don't you think she is really starting to age? She needs to lose about 30 lbs and go see the Nip Tuck guys!! Do you watch that show Nip Tuck?

GQ is a good way to descibe this new guy. Jill could use a couple of miles on the treadmill now that you mention it.
I use to watch Nip Tuck and then the last couple of years it just got too far out there for me at times. Now I watch once in awhile and depend on my sister-in-law to keep me updated from time to time.

I don't think I'm familiar with Steven Nichols either. That is a real quick recast, though -- what happened? Tucker is too new for me to really care too much about the recast, but I thought the current actor's portrayal was interesting and a bit unusual. You really can't tell what Tucker is thinking but he doesn't seem like a totally bad guy, either...I haven't quite made my mind up about him though it annoyed me how he had his way with the IPO. Recasts on Y&R are usually downgrades, especially lately, but we'll see how this one goes.

They didn't say why, or much of anything else beyond the fact the roll was being recast. I'm not a days fan, so I was hoping someone else had some insight into him. I wasn't attached to tucker at all, I did like the idea of tucker as far as jill went.
Downgrades could end up being an understatment..I still can't wrap my mind around eddie from family ties replacing shemar moore as malcom

No it will not bother me if they recast the character of Tucker as he has not been on very long and I really do not care that much for Tucker. What role did Stevern Nichols play on Days of our lives? Some actors change roles from one soap to another and it sometimes works out and other time it is hard to get use to them being in the new role.

I don't know who he was happy, the little blurb they had didn't say much, only that he was from days..He is alot more sophisticated looking than the current tucker is. younger or at least younger looking and no where near as down to earth..more like someone Jill would hook up with.
