|  when i was young my mom used buy me a shirt with circle designs on it-she said it's for luck.i'm just curious, are you familiar with this old tradition? if you are- are you still wearing it on new year's eve?

Of course, I am familiar with that because I am from the Philippines, too. When it comes to beliefs that involve giving us good luck, people readily and quickly follow or do it. I also gave in to that belief as I believe that there is no harm trying to imitate. What if it comes true?
These beliefs and practices are copied from the Chinese. I have so many Chinese friends at work and we live with the Chinese for long in our country. It is the Chinese whose businesses are thriving in the Philippines and they are one of the wealthiest people in the country. So, in a way, there must be truth to what these beliefs are.
They believe that wearing something with polka dots on New Year's eve bring in good luck for the wearer for the rest of the year. They believe that the dots or designs with circles denote money.

I wasn't aware of such a tradition where in we were made to wear shirts with geometric prints on them.I have many of my shirts with geometric prints on them and seem to be more of illusive kind of shirts lol because my Mom feels that these shirts look good on me and yeah they bring luck as well but I wasn't aware of any such tradition.Since you are saying that its being followed at your place I would definitely wear a geometric print shirt this new year :).Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!!

| |  I rather put coins on my pocket. I just dont like polka dots. Its kinda embarrassing to wear. Or maybe I will just think positive and nothing but positive. If I believe I'll make lots of money next year then it will happen i will feel it and believe it to have what I want next year.
