Did anyone notice how Monk progressed at the end of the show?

Since episode one of season one, Mr. Monk has always worn the same tan jacket, white search, and tan pants. Now, he has three different kinds of shirts. There was a black one, a tan one, and his standard white one. He also went to the movies and let someone hug him without freaking out. This is real progress. I hope that they do T.V. movies of him so we can keep checking on him every couple of years like they did with Star Trek. I'm sorry to see the series go. It's been a big part of my life for a very long time. I think it was on for seven years. At least they'll be new books out. That actually gave me hope that he wouldn't die in the series finale because there couldn't be new books if he died. I think I will really know he's made progress when (at some date in the future when we see him again) he's wearing a different jacket, different pants, and different shirt from his standard all at once. Wouldn't it be really nice to see Adrian back in police uniform? I think they'd have to make a T.V. movie of that. They'd probably call it "Mr. Monk and his First Real Case" or something.
