Do you have Premature Greying Hair?  

I have premature greying. It runs on my father's side of the family. But I'm actually glad, because premature balding runs on my mother's side of the family!

I have a few grey hair. None of my family members have grey hair. So, I cannot say it is hereditary. I am 20 and a couple of grey hairs have come up. I am not really very worried but I do not want to turn white at 40.

i have grey hair already too. I had a patch of like 5 hairs when i was 16. now i'm 28 and i'm finding more and more. I have a few at my temples and now i'm noticing more all over. they are still few and far between enough that you can't notice it unless you are up close. my mom was the same way and she was almost completely grey in her 30's. she has been dying her hair for years. i do it for her. i've been joking that soon i'll come down to dye her hair and then she'll have to do mine.

yes i do,i always have.it started at 15,and i got some weird looks from other kids in class about it,so i started dying it out.
it's kind of 50/50 in my family.my brother just now has started greying.

i'm not entirely sure mine is hereditary,because i had a really messed up childhood,so that could have accelerated it.

Hi jenny, i have had a few that had started growing when i was about 30. And i don't think it is genetic. My mother used to tell me when i was small not to sleep with damp hair, but because i always grow my hair long, it is sometimes unavoidable to sleep without completely drying my hair.

It runs in my family too on my mothers side..My grandma was snow white at 17, her sister at 15 and my mom would have been at 18, had she not discovered miss clairol. I started getting gray hairs at 16.

I would be totally white and or silver now if it weren't for my friend the hairdresser that shows up every 6 weeks with foils, and various shades of highlights and dyes.

On the upside while premature gray runs in the family, so does thick full heads of hair. My grandpa was 90 when he died..with a full head and not even a tiny balding or thinning spot, nor have I noticed it in anyone else in the family.

Hi i am 51 now, my hairs started falling and greying at age of 35, i used to dye regularly but the herbal dye lasted for a month only.. next i tried rubbing nails of both hands for 20 mins daily as suggested by Ramdev baba of India, it had wonerful effect... my hair fall is probably not hereditary, may be due to enviornment..

I had my first streak of grey hair when I was 19. One of my friend's brother plucked it out and I pleaded him not to do that. If you pluck one, it increases. Now, that's what has happened. I am almost 34, and I have hell a lot of grey hairs already in front... Many people ask me if I streaked it... Ha ha ha.. They don't believe it's natural.

I don't have premature greying. I am 54 years old so it's about time. When I was in high school I dated a guy that was a few years older than me who had grey hair. He was probably in his early twenties and he was almost all grey.

I am greying but not prematurely as I am now 51. My worst areas are at the temples and above the ears, but it covers no problem with a hair dye which I will be doing today. I hope I don't have one too many drinks when my sister comes or I won't get it done!
