|  Hi guys!!!
I will be driving to Vegas on the 29th and we'll be driving back on the 1st.
I've never been to Vegas before...I'm going with my sister and my dad. I know my dad will want to gamble a lot, but I'm not interested in that. I want to walk around and 'see the sites.'
It's about a 4 or 5 hour drive for us--we'll be leaving around 5am...I'm going to have to take a car sickness pill...lol. Hope I'm not drugged up when we get there!!
Any Vegas tips?

| |  Las Vegas is such a cool little place to go. I have been twice this year.
If you like heart pounding adventure...I recommend sky diving, beautiful view!, or the stratosphere rides i was scared more on them then i was sky diving lol.
If you want a great dinner, good wine, and awesome service the stratosphere restraunt was good. Went and seen the Tournament of Kings twice, very cool show.
Walking up and down the strip is great, but if you dont take regular breaks, I do recommend the bus..feet hurt after 14 miles of walking!!
I do recommend walking around the casinos even if your not gambling, the art work is really neat to look at.

| | Thank you very much! :P I can GUARANTEE right now that I will be doing NO skydiving and NO stratosphere rides! lol I have a "slight" fear of heights, and I know I wouldn't enjoy something like that! :P
I won't be drinking any fine wines :P But a good fancy restaurant would be fun to visit!
Wow...soooo...bring comfy shoes!!!! lol Thanks for that advice! :P
We'll probably end up at a casino with my dad, but I'm not sure my sister is interested in gambling either, so we'll hang out in their restaurant section, or walk around and look at the art like you suggested! :D

| |  That sounds like a fun trip. I have never been to Vegas before but I've heard that the buffets there are wonderful and cheap. So make sure you eat some good food. Also the shows are supposed to be great. Have a great time and enjoy!

| |  Just came back from Vegas 2 weeks ago and will be going back in 2 weeks. This last time I found things overpriced except for one thing. Watch out for the sneaky resort fee from some hotels. For $10 at the Monte Carlo, which everyone has to pay, you can use the gym, get two bottles of water in your room, free USA Today if it doesn't run out and all the faxes you want. Of course, if you want to shower and use the gym lockers , that's another $5. They're nickeling and diming you to death.
Beatles Love was not worth the $92 half-price. The outlet prices were not that great. However, you could get a $395 Hilfiger leather jacket for $90 after all the discounting at Macy's in the Fashion Mall. (Tip - sign up for the Macy's card and you get a further 15% off.) Of course, this was the Monday after Thanksgiving, so things might have changed.
One last tip - go at 11ish to the buffet so you might be able to sample both the breakfast and lunch menus for the breakfast price.

| | Well, my dad has a time share for a hotel that just opened on the strip...so I don't think we are paying for anything...he invested money, or something. I don't know how it works! lol
I am looking forward to doing some shopping while we're there! SO any deals I can get are welcome! lol

| |  I think that it will be really exciting for you to visit Las Vegas. I haven't yet been to Las Vegas but I have heard that it is a really exciting destination. It is lucky it is less that a five hour journey from there you live. I have been to California to Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.

| | Well I get car sick..i never throw up but I get headaches and stomach aches...so it's not pleasant for anyone lol. Having the windows open helps a little bit, but it can only do so much.
I've heard it is really fun there too, so I'm looking forward to it! :)

| | I carry my debit card with me everywhere, and I check my account to make sure I have money in it regularly. My dad put money into the hotel we are staying at, so I don't think we are paying for our room or anything, so it's nice saving money on that! :)
