This hockey season sucks for me!! My Canes lose last night to Philly in a shoot out with our old coach, Lavy and old goalie Michael Leighton and my favorite hockey player breaks his leg!!! I am so depressed.:( At least when the Canes were losing I had my Justin to watch! Now he is crippled. He looked so miserable being taken off the ice on a stretcher. I hate this!! Was not a good hockey night for me last night. How about you guys?

Saw that about Justin..sorry canesfan!! Was a decent night for the wings too. sorry again..we won 2-1..thanks to Bertuzzi who scored both goals! Jason Williams broke his leg a month and a bit ago, sounds like he might be back after the olympics..sticks crossed.

Hi jewels49. What's up with this Bertuzzi guy?! Always scoring, and making game winners. I don't know the guy anymore. Is he just stepping up? Or is he on a mission to resurrect his name, or something?

Watching him play and listening to him during interviews, I am getting the impression that this is truly an honest and conentrated effort on his part to really change his image. Maybe because he is getting older and closer to retiring he wants to be remembered for more than one of the ugliest moments in hockey? Whatever the reason, the guy has really stepped up.

First of all, what happened to your avatar? Are you changing it with something else? Sorry to hear about Justin. I did think that the Canes showed character in coming back to tie the game in regulation. Who knows? Maybe that's what's needed to make a complete turn around for Carolina. Sorry M, it was a good night for my canucks.

I watched that game against Latvia too! Well, for the most part. When it was like 6-0 after the first period, I tuned out. The US-Slovakia game was great too! 0-2 and then 7-2 in the end. I think the Canes will have great pick next draft. I know Toronto has thrown their pick with that trade they had with Boston to get Kessel.

I don't know what happened to my avatar. I turned my computer on this a.m. and it was gone. I tried to reload and it would not reload. There are others on MyLot that are having the some troubles. I hope they fix it because I hate that green thing!! Glad to hear about the Canucks. When I went to bed it was 2-1 Vancouver. I told you they would pick it up. I just knew if they could stay healthy that they could make a run for the playoffs. They have a lot of talent. All I see for Carolina this year is the No. 1 draft pick. I watched him play for team Canada in the World Juniors tournament yesterday. The kid is good! So many good prospects coming up to the NHL. So exciting!!

Let's not talk about The Caps.I am soo sorry to hear about Justin. My heart breaks for you .But look at it this way ,at least your favorite player is Still playing . My fave is Brendan Shanahan and he retired! It takes 6 weeks for a broken bone to heal so you may get to see him later in the season.Hang in there.

I hope it will just be a 6 week healing time. I liked Brendan Shanahan too. He is such a pleasant, nice man. Not to mention he is good looking. :)

The incident looked rather gruesome and Justin was having a good year. So both Jason and Justin Williams have broken legs. I never could tell the difference between the two. They were not even brothers. Now it's still hard to tell. Re the Canes, finishing last might be a blessing because Taylor Hall is a phenomenal talent. However, last place does not guarantee the first pick, just guarantees more balls in the lottery. Isn't that the reason they play the games - for more balls?:-)

Getting Taylor Hall would be great but it is hard to go through such a tough season and watch guys that you've seen for years who have been great hockey players lose. Just goes to show that hockey is not only a physical game but a mental game as well.
