Somebody had to lose this one

I just wish it had been them. what a war of goalies. Columbus needed to break their losing streak, but we really needed the points, 9th place isn't going to cut it for long. Not a bad game as games go the worse part was the fact we lost it 1-0. Hope everybody else had a better night than we did in the final score department.

Watchin NHL network and saw that you guys lost. Sorry! I was at an all girls night at a local sports bar watching the Canes play. We beat the crap out of Washington 6-3! Eric Staal had a 5 pt. night. It's about time. Coach moved him to the wing position and I think it has really freed him up so he can concentrate on his offense. He really did well tonight.

wow 6-3!! You did have a better night than we did..Congratulations om the win and the all girls night..I haven't done that in years. Staal has the potential, maybe now he has the position?

I wish you lived closer and you could come to some of our nights out. All the women know hockey and are big time fans. It's funny cause the men in these places just look at us like - what? and I am like yea, wouldn't you love for your wife to be a sports fan? We were watching the Vikings, the Canes, college basketball game! It was great!! I hope last nite's game for the Canes will jump start the team. Staal is stilling auditioning for the Olympics! I'm not a big Staal fan.

Yes M. You are right about that. A lot of the players are still auditioning for the Olympic team. I felt happy for you when I saw the box scores last night, and that the canes did whip the caps!

Caught some of this game, it was a goalie battle! Howard played a good 60. Unfortunately, like you said, somebody had to lose this one. At least you still got a point. I'm starting to realize that if everything doesn't change in the west, the last playoff spot(s) would include jockeying between the canucks and the redwings. Hopefully(and thankfully) there is still a ton of hockey to play. And maybe we can dislodge those pretenders up there.

Well, Sammy could always use the time off to recharge his batteries. He was really hot at the start of the season. Although he started to play well again this past few games, he was cold for a while. Maybe the olympic break will do him good.

That there is still alot of hockey left is the one thing in our favor at the moment. That and our penalty killing is at 94%. I saw what Samuelson had to say about not being picked for the olympic team for sweden..he prefaced his statment by saying he was going to get into trouble..did he? I can't believe they picked Modine over Sammy..he should be going to the olympics!

This game played like a playoff game. It was good except the ending! Damn!
