Did you buy anyone the same/similar present as they bought you?

My son and I managed to do this on no fewer than 7 presents this year!
We both bought one of those "Grow your own" toys which you add water to: got each other nuts/fruit mixes: candles:a blanket: wobbly penguin ornament... something I can't remember at the moment and, he bought me a book of a TV programme and I'd got him a book by its presenter.

Oh I don't know, I like Science Fiction and Fantasy, have rather eclectic taste in music, not much into household things, love old movies, especially musicals, love purple, idk...

Well you and your son certainly have a telepathic connection. I always think hard about what presents to buy and usually they don't match with what I received. Well, there was this one time when me and my mother bought similar books for presents to one another but I think that is all
