|  If nothing exciting happened we wouldn't know why we should get up in the morning, now that our big rescue is under control we have a new family moving in, they have lost their job and their home so they are coming here for a few months, when this happens it's a big help because there is always more work then we can do. They work and we feed and house them. It's a big adjustment because the kids have to change schools but we try to make that as easy as it can be, we have rural bus service here. When people come like this we don't consider it charity we call it help and hope that both parties are happy with the results. It doesn't always work out, usually people that come have been so traumatized by what has happened to them
that it takes awhile for the healing that comes from this place on earth to work. I just hope that they can stay long enough for it to work. Thus starts the new year

| |  What a wonderful thing for you to do! How do you find those people, though, and how do you know that they won't hurt you? Does your town or county have a program that screens people so that you can help them?
I wouldn't mind doing something like this but there is no screening program here and many of the people that are losing the roofs over their heads have done so because of drug abuse. I feel most sorry for the children.

| | These people show up in our lives many times as friends of friends or workers we use for some project, sometimes they are relatives of relatives, they just come when the need is there. Both my Hubby and I had rough childhoods but we know now that that helped to make us who we are today, so while we try to do as much as we can for the children we know that sometimes all we can give is room and board and hope that they can look back on this experience in the future and see that it was a positive experience. | | | |

commend you for taking on such a wonderful and charitable
jesture as taking in an entire family. I know that you need
the help with the farm and all, but it takes a very special

| |  That is a wonderful thing you are doing! So many people just turn their heads and walk away from the problems of the world. You are a very kind person. I have known others that have done this for people and youre right sometimes life has just been so hard on them that living in a "normal family" household can be a real challenge for them. I hope this all works out for you and this other family. My family im sure always thought... oh it cant happen to us ....but it did by ways of a disaster. You just dont know how fortunate you are ... one day you have everything..you own your own home its paid for..you have enough food to eat.. you have clean dry clothing.. and all the luxturies ipods, tv, game systems, nice vehicles, internet, cable, 4wheelers, boat, everything youve worked half your life to get and the NEXT day you have nothing its all washed away and your thrown into homelessness and a sea of endless FEMA paperwork! Ive learned to never judge because that could be you the next day!
