Author Discoveries of 2009

As we close out 2009, I am looking back and realizing that I've discovered several new authors this year. Of the ones that I've read this year, though, I think that Jennifer Crusie is my favorite; her romantic comedies are a delight to read, and I was hooked from the moment that I read Agnes and the Hitman (her second collaboration with Bob Mayer). What authors have you discovered this year? Which have been your favorites?

Perhaps, graphic novels would be a better fit than long novels? I often find myself reading a graphic novel or short poetry (such as "Claw the System," which I posted about) when I want to read something but don't feel like I have the attention and/or energy for something heavier.

I discovered Jude Deveraux this year ! I love her romance stories ! I like how they have a mix of comedy , action , and sometimes even mystery and suspense in them besides just having romance in them . If you haven't read one of her books you should .

I have always read a lot of different authors, but I just came across Jennifer Cruise a few weeks back. You're right, her romantic comedies are absolutely great and I can't wait to read more of her work.
