Great Hockey Weekend!!!

Sounds like everybody had a great hockey weekend! Wings won, Canucks won, Kings won, Canes won!!!! And best of all my kid won the Queen City Pee Wee Tournament in Charlotte this weekend! For the weekend he had 8 goals and 2 assists. A 10 point weekend!! The kids beat a AA team out of Charleston. Our team is a single A so they won and beat a team that is a level above them. Needless to say my kid has jello legs this afternoon and I am exhausted. Hard being a travel hockey mom! At least the games were not a 6:00 every morning. Nice to bring a 1st place banner back home to our rink!

Yes it was a great hockey weekend! Congratulations on bringing home a 1st place banner. Hope that in a few years from now, we begin to hear about your boy in minor or college hockey, and maybe further on to the big leagues! Sticks crossed like J would say. I'm green with envy. I am going to try to put my 3 year old on skates this weekend. The boys had fun playing roller hockey last weekend, and I think the 3-year old has a decent slap shot. Or am I just imagining things...

Oopps! My mistake, not roller hockey, just floor hockey. So you think I should try roller blades first? I might have to re-think that weekend plan of mine.

If your kid can roller blade then that is a great start for ice skating. The hardest thing for my kid to learn on the ice was stopping. He had to work his whole first year learning how to stop fast. My kid started on roller blades too. He skates everyday out on the drive way. I think that is why he has developed so fast! Get some nets and put them in the driveway or a smooth surface and let them go!

Way to go A team!!!!!!!!!! So your boys have a good idea how all these teams that have been beating the wings feel! 10 point weekend shouldmake jello legs easy to deal with. Glad all went well, Congrats to the boys for me.

Say congrads to your son for me. It is so great they beat a " better" team. I'm happy for The Wings but a little bummed about the Caps.Oh well , I can't have it all.

Congratulations to your team. Beating an AA team is impressive. Enjoy your banner. Yes, it was a good weekend. Don't forget the Winter Classic - that was enjoyable to watch also. Plus, the Canucks' Ryan Kesler made the US team for the Olympics and it's going to be at my backyard, so to speak. I just might catch a game.
