What do you do with your christmas trees? Do you recycle them?

I ask this question because I have heard ways you can recycle your tree without having it take up space in a landfile! One thing you can do is put it in your backyard,if you have one,and let it be shelters for birds and other creatures! Some trees in the area get collected and put in lakes! The trees make good fish food and shelter for the fish from certain predators! I also know you can make mulch out of christmas trees! These are some of the things you can do with your trees after the holidays! I think recycling christmas trees in an awesome idea!

I use plastic Christmas tree. But it somehow . . . kills the spirit of Christmas. It solves lots of problems at the same way, but it's different to have a real one. I'm using plastic from about 5 years ago, maybe more. One and the same tree every year.
If there's recycling option, it is the best way. That's my opinion.
You can use the plastic tree, but recycling the real one is better idea. This can help you have a good and alive Christmas and help the industry a little bit.

I never liked fake trees! The reason is the one we had growing up looked so fake it took the what ever spirit that was left at Christmas!

well in this day and age I agree totally,
but with a slight twist we haven't had a real tree in 10 years don't see the point of a real tree,
we have a 7 ft fake one and it looks a lot better than any real tree I have seen or have had.
It also means that every year we use the same one so no new tree's are cut down or transported to ours saving energy etc etc
I personally think people should use a good quality fake tree as they really are awesome and a lot less messy
cheers ben

Very good point! I would of thought of that! More people should use fake trees and less real trees will be cut down! Today's fake trees are so life like! 30 years ago they looked like they were really fake treees!

My Christmas tree is used over and over each year. I have an artificial tree. I am very happy with it.

As far as I am concerned, after the Christmas day , I just put my Christmas tre aside which maybe have no distur to others.have not thought about the recyle of the Christmas yet. I think maybe the tree just can be a decorate of my house. Maybe sometimes, I can get a lot of fun from it.

Hello blue65packer? Good day to you. Well, after christmas and the tree kings celebration we removed all the decoration. We put our christmas tree in the back space in the house because we recycle it and use again every chrhstmas.

Hello Blue65packer,
I don't know if you guys buy the life christmas tree for christmas, but in our country, we celebrate our lunar new year, but we celebrate Christmas too!
. What we will do is that we will buy a artifical christmas tree, and we use the same one for every christmas!
. After 3-4 years, we change a new articifical one.

Hi Blue65packer,
We don't use real trees as Christmas trees. Generally, we buy Christmas trees that come in may different colors. I saw in December that the malls displayed trees which are of white, gold, violet, blue colors. Green is the "standard" and regular color of trees. The trees are an imitation of a pine tree.
We keep our Christmas tree after the season and re-use it every year. It is a 7-foot tree that we have. To break monotony, we add variations to the decorations that we hang every year.

I don't usually have a Christmas tree, my father and I have one that which is made of tree, painted and about 12 cm tall :-) It stands on the middle of the table.
We used to burn the Christmas tree when we had one. I suppose I would have taken the branches to the horses, some of them like eating spruce needles, and burnt the rest for Christmas next year :-) If you don't know what to do with your Christmas tree here, you put it out around 10. january and the recycling picks it up. I think they are used for paper.

Since i use and artificial Christmas tree here's what i do. i get it from my garage and also the decorations. then i unpack it and put all the decorations on it in like 30 minutes. then when it's time to put it up all i do is take all the decorations off and put them in a bag, then i take the artificial Christmas tree and unassemble it and put it in a box. Done ! all i do now is put it in the garage and wait until next year, what's Christmas without a tree and presents under it, lol. Goodbye !

Nowadays, most of Christmas trees were just synthetic and can be used every year. We just bought our christmas tree last December and it was used only for almost a month. It can be recycled and used again next year with proper dismatling and storage. This will save money and instead of buying another Christmas tree, you can buy other decorations instead...
