A online friend of mine and i got talking about this stuff tonight and she asked me to post this and see what you all think about it!
Thanks in advance,
"It was about 2:30 am when I was waken up by very loud music. I do have a medium sized boom box sitting on my bedside table and if it been there that the music was coming from, I would have seen the lumination from the radio. I sat up, looked around and peered out the window to see if it was a car or something out in the street. NOTHING was there. My husband who was sleeping next to me didn't even stir. Evidently, he didn't hear the music. Anyway, after not finding anything, I laid back down and drifted off to sleep. 5 Minutes later I was awakened by the very same music, same words and everything. I decided I was going to look around the apartment. The last room I went into was the kitchen to get a drink before heading back to bed. Up until this point I hadn't seen or heard anything else since the music. I got my drink, put the glass in the sink and turned to leave the kitchen. BUT when I got to the doorway, the was a very cold swirling type of air there in the doorway. I didn't think anything of it until I tried to walk through the doorway, I COULDN'T GET OUT!!. I could only feel the swirling from the waist up. Being frightened, I tried to call for my husband and just I was about to call his name, it felt as thought someone had put their hand over my mouth to stop me. I got even more upset and started to cry. I said out loud, " Look, I don't know who you are, what you are or what you want, but you are beginning to really scare me. Just tell me what you want and we'll both be happy." Almost immediately, I felt what I thought was a hand brushing my cheek as if to wipe away my tears. I looked up and saw a mist formed right in front of me. It was a man's face and upper body. I took a step back, not sure if I was seeing things are if this man was really there. Then the most amazing and frightening thing happened. I HEARD the mans' voice whisper in my ear." Laura, you don't have to be afraid anymore. I am here with you and you will be fine. I just wanted to tell you I was here, that I loved you and missed you." The only problem is that I didn't recognize the voice or the face. With hearing that, I said, " Ok, thank you for being here and protecting me. But who are you and how do you know me?" The mist started to fade and the cold air that I felt when I first tried to leave the kitchen was gone. This time when I attempted to leave the room, I could. I wanted to wake my husband up, but thought twice about it. Even though he has felt the presence of a man, about 40 or so and a young boy about 4 being here, I thought he would think I had finally lost my mind, so I didn't say anything to him. Until the next morning. I asked him if he felt, saw or heard anything and he told me that he heard me call out to him but it wasn't actually out loud it was actually more like he heard it in his head. He had witnessed the encounter I had with my "ghost friend" but he was unable to open his eyes or move from the spot in which he was laying. Since this has happened, I have heard the voice, but never saw or felt any presence. All I hear is " Laura, remember I am here." And it happens at all times of the day and night, but no one hears it but me. thing."

I'll agree that it could be God or one of His messengers, but I don't think so because of the coldness. The paranormal has been a part of my life since I can remember and is partly why I believe so strongly in God. One bad experience I had was shortly after moving into an apartment that had been occupied for years by a manic depressive/schizzophrenic. (Yes, I think this had something to do with the experience) I was sleeping and awoke with a heavy weight on top of my stomach - so heavy I couldn't breathe nor move. Gasping and struggling, my brain went to my cat (for whatever reason) and I rasped out his name. Immediately, the weight left. I've often wondered why I thought of my cat instead of God at that moment and admit that I have no answers. Though I'm very glad I didn't live there for a long time....there was one other bad experience there that I had thought was related - the sudden feeling that my hair had been grabbed and yanked hard - backwards and into a hot iron on my neck - but a doctor told me he's heard of this phenomenon before and has to do with nerves and a disk problem. I think many 'paranormal' things can be explained, but not all. And unless the experience happens to one personally, many just can't believe it. The same can be true of how one thinks of God.

This one sounds to me like a 'familiar spirit' or the demon/ fallen angel that was bothering the previous resident.. It was putting pressure on her, and was a heavey weight for her.. and when she moved, the spirit stayed.. or came back to visit every so often. I lived in a house once that I finally did a sort of exorcism for, which was to pray and order, in the name of the Lord all unclean spirits to go away.. and the place lightened up. I did hear later that a family that lived there, a borhter and sister had dabbled in some old fashioned witchcraft or black magic, summoning type stuff.. I also believe the fallen angels are the 'gods' of ancient days, and are gearing up to be the 'guides' of modern days..

I agree that it was a demon that resided there. Rarely do people in my culture agree with me - but after only a few blank stares that accused me of insanity, I decided it was better not mentioned. I am guilty. I know that demons are one third of God's 'used to be' messengers turned dark. Most paranormal encounters I've had are either good or neutral...the dark is rare. I truly appreciate hearing others' experiences and thoughts.

I could be your guardian angel or whatever supreme being you believe in. He just wanted to let you know that you are protected and yo uhave nothing to fear. Excellent! You must be a chosen one!

Set up a digital recorder and see if you are able to capture it on tape. If you are hearing it, even though no one else is, it is possible to catch it on tape. Then you may feel better because you will be able to prove you are not just hearing things.

Wow that is pretty freaky
My two guesses are either it was a dream and just really didn't feel like it was.
or it was her guardian angel. Either is possible.
Or someone that passed that she didn't know well, but thought highly of her.
