I really think that the scanner is more like an x-ray and people would much rather be scanned than have the plane blown up. I don't think that most people fly often enough for the scanner to do DNA damage, in fact, I hadn't heard that until now. If you fly every week for business, I don't know what the long term effects would be, but if you only go on vacation once a year and to Grandma's at Christmas, I don't think you have to worry. The alternative could be so permanent!

No, not one that I KNEW would rip apart my DNA. Would I go through a low-dose xray machine in the name of safety? Yes, I would. Karen

If the full body scanner was determined to not cause harm to the human body, then I would be more than willing to walk through one. I don't have anything to hide so why would I have a problem with it. However, if they do in fact harm the human DNA, no, I would not want to walk through one because you just don't know what kind of adverse effects that the harm to your DNA would cause in your body. So, I guess to sum it up, as long as it is safe to the human body, I don't have a problem with it.
