is popping multi vitamins good enough? |
| |
| with the springing of numerous health boutiques, booming advertisements for all types of health elixirs, non stop exposure to vitamin pills on billboards and newspapers, it seems almost inevitable that each of every one of us are being 'inculcated' the numerous benefits of that potent multivitamin pill that promise to give us good health and great immunity. but to what extent can we really rely on this tiny pill that promises wonders for our health? is it enough to just pop that super wonder pill and gorget bout our balanced diet of carbo, proteins and fibre? | | | | | |

| | no... it's not enough.. they are called SUPPLEMENTS, they will supply to the daily diet. they're just add-ons. they will just fill out the gaps that a real diet cannot give. you cannot feed on just vitamins and expect it to do wonders. | | | | | | |

| | Many people have turned to taking multi vitamins in the hopes of gaining good health. But there have been so many controversial reports by experts in this field. That really put us as consumers in a deep dilemma - to take (multi vitamins) or not to take. In the course of all these hype about vitamins, it seems to me people have forgotten about balanced diets, exercise, and rest. These 3 factors combined together is the best form of detoxifying and nourishing agent that our bodies (and minds) really need. Having said that, it doesn't mean multi vitamins don't help. They do, but only by supplementing certain deficiencies in our diets. Ultimately, to take or not to take multi vitamins, it is really up to the individual. | | | | | | |

| | Hi luckymichelle . Not sure if you had a particular multi-vitamin in mind, but the ones I take are generally natural. I do not wan that chemical stuff. Had chemical vitamins for years, and I find I do better on the natural ones. Multi-vitamins are not enough since we still need a sensible diet, exercise, and clean water-- and let me not forget rest. I do not completely depend upon my supplements of herbs and vitamins, but try to drink good water, do some exercise (need to do more I guess) and rest (need to do better on that one too). | | | | | | |
