Everytime I read some peoples responses, I also check their respective mylot reputation. I feel happy and proud for those who have higher reputation, talking about 90 - 100. Wow, how did you maintain those? I am struggling with my 60.

when i first reached my 100 posts, i had an 8 star rating. and i also wondered about the 9 and 10 stars. fellow mylotters were kind enough to give tips and suggestions on how i can make it possible to increase my ratings. i did everything they told me. (i'm such a good follower -lol-) i noticed that the more i participated and made quality posts, the higher the reputation gets. it just crept up over time until it reached 10. as a summary they suggested the following: - do quality posts (relevant, helpful... no one-liners and such) - do the ratings, both the discussion starter as well as responses and comments you received - add comments whenever you can - choose best responses when possible - do the tags (always) - make friends with fellow mylotters and participate in their discussions too - and enjoy! when i did those, they also commensurate to higher earnings. it may or may not be directly responsible, but i believe they became positive factors. hope these things would help you as much as it did for me. goodluck!

hi! before, in my eagerness to do tags... i made 5-10 tags when i was a newbie. and once i reached the limit of tags (which was 10 btw) because a message appeared that i exceeded the number already when i wrote more than 10. -lol- i was embarrased, but nobody knew. well at least i learned something out of it. hehe these days i do 1-3 tags mostly. keep it up and enjoy mylotting. i'm sure many mylotters have several suggestions to increase ratings. have fun!

Hey myles Wow. I am impress with your great explanations regarding reputations. I think I will bookmark this topic to remind myself to do it. I can see that it really works for very well and you got 10 stars. I sometimes rate comments but I dont do tags.

Oh, that means you are now more popular than me! LOL .. I already have 300+ posts here but my reputation level is only 58, you're 60 from only 100+ posts. Maybe the basis for reputation level here is based on popularity like number of profile views and comments (like best responses you have earned), not based on number of posts. Of course, if you have thousands of posts here, your number of profile views will also rise accordingly. But it is not solely based on number of posts.

No, your star rating is not based on the number of posts. Your reputation improves as people give you a + rating. If you do not put anything out to have it rated, you cannot have it improve. As someone else said, if you make quality posts of good lenghth you will be more likely to earn a positive rating and improve your reputation.

Hi magtibaygom I also saw some mylottors with less than a hundres posts but more than 50 and still they have high reputation. So I guess it is not based on the number of post. Response number 5 great explanations of our reputation.

As you make helpful discussions and give useful responses, people will rate you higher. Your rating can only improve if you are active here. I have always been pretty active, even before they put the ratings system in place.

Its sound funny but can you help me out. I also want to know my reputation in mylot. But don't know where to look. I only know the star 3 means you are lousy poster and 10 means your the best and have quality post. But I never thought theirs a mylot reputation gauge in here. Please teach me how. thanks.

Seriously, I don't really know, however, it can be noted that most 10 starred members have over 1000 posts. All I can say is the give informative posts, post long, or post good quality information, and help other members up. As you post more, you should be able to see your star go up higher, though a few times for some reason my ranking got lower. :(

Response number 5 (myles) explained how she got 10 stars (93-100). And of course you mentioned few of them here.
