A favorite place   

Reminds me of when the Santa Barbara pier was damaged in a fire. We used to go there a lot when we were in So. Cal. Favorite places now? To walk to at lunch, Lake Natomas. To drive to on the weekend, San Francisco or Lake Tahoe. San Francisco has a lot of things to do and Lake Tahoe is just beautiful!

You must miss your pier. I'm sure you'll have a great time in Canada. Hope you go to a Province I haven't gone to, come back, and tell us about it.

My favorite place is Au Sable Chasm. I love to walk the chasm. It's really, really neat to see the way the river carved the walls. The walk is nice. It's great to go with my husband on a hot day because it's so much cooler there. The walk used to be nicer, it used to be more down into the Chasm with everything strategicly placed to see the best part of every wall. But there was a flood and now it's up higher, safer, and you miss some of the beauty under foot. Sometimes we go on the raft ride in the river, that is even more beautiful, but it depends on how much money we have and if the raft ride is calm or more like white water rafting. We don't white water.

We also have piers in India, but most of them are not used. These were mostly built by the British when they were ruling India, and most of them have become ancient and it is used mostly by the anti socials living in the nearby fisher men slums.Except for the beaches, most of the piers are taken over by fishermen, and decent people do not go near them.
My favorite place is the Marina Beach near my house. Recently the government has taken a lot of pains to beautify the Marina, and even though I go to the beach everyday for my daily walk, I find it is quiet peaceful and serene during the weekdays in the evenings.

well, those are the historical places in my areas are the home of the famous heroes so far that i remember and a lot more but have no time to go there as i am very busy now days. all historical places are memorable to me.

Yes, in my province, u will find two great items. First one is, world largest river island is here. Secondly kaziranga, the national garden of rhinos and animals. Lol.

Well in India too we have several places to visit. Right from Kashmir to kanyakumari out heritage is full of diversity. India is considered as a country of tourist spots.

I moved to live near the sea this year and I love it. It's almost like going back to my roots, although I had to compromise on which bit of seaside it was. In our locality we have a tiny wooden pier that fishermen use, and some people swim from it. Of course it's not a grand pier like the Weston one or Bournemouth a few miles along the coast from here. But I love to walk out on it, lean on the railings to admire the views and take in the sea air.

Where we are now, we have a county run park. I haven't had the chance to visit it yet. I will in the future. They have camping, animals and wooded areas to enjoy. Can't wait.
