So..Which "Celebrity"'s Calendar would YOU not Buy?! :-) |
| |
| Today while out shopping,I remembered I wanted a bedside lamp, and as I was close to one of the "Pound Shops",decided to go in. I got the lamp (£3.99,if you're interested!) and while browsing, wondered what they had in the way of Calendars,as I hadn't been given any promotional ones this Year, and a planner type of one is useful..I got to the display they had,and it was a fairly limited selection..but there were a BUNCH of Cheryl Cole and "Girls Aloud" ones marked down to 69p! I still didn't buy... So..Which Celebrity's calendar wouldn't interest YOU,even at a bargain basement Price?! | | | | | |

| | I'd not buy any as I don't recognise any of these so called "Celebrities". Talentless people that other talentless people find worthy of "winning" some dire reality TV show. However, give the New Yorker calendar any day - 265 days will do! | | | | | | |

| | You're gonna have to explain that New Yorker Calendar reference! Re the lamp..I had my eye on one of the gooseneck lamps on display,as It was a reading Lamp I really wanted (A Quid Cheaper!) but it was only available with the "Edison" screw in bulb fitting, which would have meant buying a pack of bulbs to go with it,as I only have "Bayonet" fittings and spares at home..So..a slightly more expensive lamp to save the price of the bulbs-method in my madness! | | | |

| | www.newyorker.com I meant that you paid £3.99 in a store that advertises everything for £1. At least they do here. I know the problem with the screw thread thing although they are getting easier to find. NPower even sent me some free environmentally friendly ones. | | | |

| | It's known locally as the Pound Shop, but I dunno if I'm allowed to give them a plug by mentioning the Name, which would be along the lines of Pound "extender"! I don't think I've ever been in a place that advertised everything for a pound before..there would be some bargains to be had in this place, and some not so much..I got myself a little wifi "netbook" recently (Ebay)..I'm still evaluating it,but I'm happy with it so far..it hooks up to my home broadband,it has MS Messenger built in,I can view photos, browse web pages, listen to music,It has Skype,so must check that ability out..I found out it has a built in PDF reader,so that's me sorted for ebook reading while travelling! It cost about £60. I saw what looked like it's twin (the photo on the packaging matched, anyway, didn't see one on display..£99...and at the checkout,on a display I saw 8 of those flat 1.5v lithium coin batteries for £1 to £1.50,depending on the type..must see if i need any of those.. | | | |

| | I probably wouldn't buy any celebrity calendars even of those people I do like as I much prefer to have one with pictures of different places in the world - usuaully I do try and make sure I get a few from my travel magazines! : ) | | | | | | |
