Would you spend $60.00 on a charity card game?  |

|  My niece's softball team is having a charity Texas Holdem tournament. The money will help the team and my niece to pay for travel expenses for tournaments. I am a pretty decent Texas Hold Em player but I know that these kinds of things have a lot to do with luck and not always skill. My sister in law is practically begging me to go. She is sending email reminders every day. So far my neice has no one other than her own friends supporting her and I feel bad about that, I have one friend that says he will go if I go. The $60 does include free food and drinks but I don't know what that entails. But $60.00 is a lot of money. It takes a lot for me to earn $60 with my online endevours and $60.00 will be a big chun of what I made this month. Of course I could win, but I never count on winning at anything like this. Would you go if you were me?

| |  The questtion really is, is it worth $60 to you?
IT looks to me like $60 for a fun night out with food and drinks, and of course you're making some money for charity. that seems a reasonable amount when you think what people can spend in an evening!
That said if you don't have $60 available then it's a lot of money. At the moment I am really scrimping and saving so if it was me I'd have to say no. But any other time, I think it sounds like a good amount for a good cause.
If you do go - make sure you have fun!

| | I suppose but it would be just for me, my husband would have to stay home with the kids which could give me a night out and he wouldn't mind because I never get to go out. But when I think how much work I have to do to earn $60 and the fact that our credit card is a little higher than it should be this month because of Christmas, we try and pay it off every month. It is the end of the month though and I do have that much money left so it probably would not be that painful. | | | |

| |  Go for it! I'm sure that you have a good chance and if you win that would be great. If you lose, nobody has to know. I would do it. Chance is for those who think they might win, luck is for those who do every now and then but skill is for those who know and play the odds, I say go for it.
