Well, my baby is nearly 7 months olds now, and she is wild and talkative(I mean baby babbles). I just think she is so pretty. She's at that age where she wants to touch and grab at everything, scootcrawls, and wants to drink from my cup even if she has juice in her sippy cup. I think I've spoiled her. After all it's just her and me all day since I am a full time Mom. She is just amazing, but tempermental...or is it normal for her to get mad a lot. Its as if she does'nt know if she wants laugh or cry. Even when she's clearly tired she'll try to resist sleeping. Did you ever feel like your failing as a parent? This is my first baby, and I feel out of sorts and insecure. When do I get to that point when I atleast feel like I know what I'm doing?

It sounds to me like you are doing just fine. I think they get like that at that age. They are aware enough of their surroundings to know that things go on while they are sleeping. So they try hard not to fall asleep and miss something. Most kids are tempermental, the important thing is to not give in to her temper. If she throws a fit and you give her what she wants or give her something special to end the fit, then she'll learn that that is the way she'll get anything from you, by throwing a fit. you'll partially get the feeling that you know what you are doing, but it's basically a learn as you go along job. as long as she is happy and healthy you are doing great.

hi naylani you will learn as you go along and by and by your
basic maternal instincts will tell you you are doing a great
job so do not be hard on your self. Shes at the age where she
is really learning, and that is tempermental time, then again at two she will be tempermental again. thumbupwhich is very normal. You are doing a great job from what you have told us. so just keep on trucking and you will soon feel like an old timer.thumbupthumbup

Babies have a mind of their own and each one is different. Some start getting curios about their surroundings earlier than others. They always think they are missing out on something and have to have whatever their mother has. You may be drinking the same thing as them but they still feel there is a difference.

Having a baby is wonderful and comes with so many responsibilities. We are suddenly accountable for another human being. All these thoughts make us worried and we wonder if we are good enough or doing the right them. Let me tell you, as long as we love our child, we will do our best for them. So do not worry you are doing a great job.

Your baby girl sounds quite similar to my daughter. My daughter is called Amber and she is seven months old. She tries to touch everything she sees. If the item is just out of reach she grabs at it. When she is tired she cries and tries to resist going to sleep. Amber still drinks from a baby's bottle. She isn't keen on eating food suitable to four to six month old babies. It is lovely to hear her laugh and sometimes she makes vocal noises. Often she moans because she wants to do more than she is capable of. You are not failing at being a parent. It sounds like you are doing very well indeed. I have a disabled toddler son and a teenage son in addition to my baby daughter. I hope that you will now begin to feel more secure and happy with your parenting skills.
