Well, it's three for three... Ontario's Wiarton Willie, Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam and Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania saw their shadows this morning (Ground Hog Day). According to legend, this means six more weeks of winter.

But, up until this past week, winter hasn't been too bad here in Hamilton -- very little snow, mildish temps (for winter). Later this week, it's supposed to get up above freezing again, so maybe my pipes will finally thaw out.

Hello Doll You see the deal is that if he sees his shadow we will get 6 more weeks of winter... And then is he doesn't we will only be blessed with a month and a half of winter so there you have it... It is what it is....lol Each day is a blessing weather hot or cold weather it rains or snows I'm sending you a hug hug to keep you warm. xoxoxoxoxo

Yeah, what's the difference between six more weeks of winter, or spring in 6 weeks. It's the same thing, isn't it?

I don't put much faith in a groundhog, lol but don't have much in the weather man either. It's just going to do what it's going to do. We just had the biggest snowfall we have had in years. I really don't know how people deal w/it all winter long.

And Chuch on Long Island says an early spring. Do you really believe this Groundhog Day stuff? It certainly anything scientific. I just take the weather as it comes.

Balzac Billy and Manitoba Merv didn't see their shadows, either. But Fred in Gaspé did.
