Wildlife in your country

Everyone one of us try our utmost best to preserve and protect our wildlife. But this trend in my country is really starting to irritate a lot of us. I may step on some toes with this, but please bear with me and try to see it from our point of view. If you keep on killing wildlife, how are they suppose to reproduce so there can be some of them left, for our grandchildren and their children to see and enjoy one day? What is it with poeple who kill our rhino just for their horns? As if it really mean something. I cannot for the life of me understand why they kill the rhino and only take the horn. If things keep up like this, there won,t be any left in about 5 years time. And our elephants, really people. Admire the animal not the goods you can get from them. I wonder if i can make someone,s hair bleed? If they had horns and tusks, i can try and get theirs, as it is so easy to take it from a defenseless animal. I hope that all of you feel the same about your country,s wild animals. We have to protect each one of them, or we will have to live without them. And that my dear friends will be the end of a wonderfull sight, that God gave us to protect!!!!!!!

I think the forest guards should start shooting them, sweetie. That will teach them to destroy something that cannot be replaced, EVER. Thanx. TATA.

Perhaps we should be using convicted poachers for game instead? I don't know about yours, but UK prisons are fit to burst- you could have some of ours.....

I totally agree with you. Hunting animals for food is natural to us, but this is just slaughter for trophies, and is sickening.

Growing up in the country,I heard the old farmer's saying, "If you do your job, then the fox works for you." Meaning if the farmer maintained his fences, etc then the fox actually helped him by keeping down other pests. Now rich city types with more money than brain cells come out to the country to hunt, dress up in silly clothes, sit on horses they can barely control and pursue foxes with hounds. At least they used to, till it was banned, though they are talking about re-legalising it. The unspeakable in pursuit of the uneatable, as someone once remarked. all the best urban

You won,t believe it if i told you. The most beautifull black rhino was killed, just for the horn, a week ago. How can people be so heartless and comonly stupid?

sadly i do believe it. i know in some places the rhinos have their horns surgically removed to try and stop this, which isn't ideal at all because they need them for defense but might work if this is happening a lot. what do you think?

Prime Minister's Message for the Wildlife Week as on October 2010 "India is richly endowed with biodiversity and is home to a fascinating array of wildlife, including major species like the tiger, lion, elephant and rhinoceros. Our protected areas and other natural ecosystems offer a wide range of tangible as well as intangible benefits. We are guardians of this treasure and it is our responsibility to protect it for posterity. This could be best achieved by harmonizing our development imperatives with conservation concerns. It is necessary that all Indians recognize this and cooperate towards conserving our irreplaceable wildlife. Wildlife week coincides with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the postle of non-violence. His ideal of non-violence towards all living beings should guide us in understanding our relationship with wildlife. On this occasion, let us reaffirm our commitment to conserving our wildlife." Lets get united and take care of our Wildlife

If only all the prime ministers in the whole wide world can see it this way, sweetie. Wildlife need to be protected, but people just do not care anymore. The more they can kill, the happier they are. Stupid idiots. Thanx. TATA.
