Who will be the best replacement for the GREAT WALL of india ???  

For current test , it might be Badri(though I haven't seen him much, playing !). But finding a long-term replacement of Dravid is quite a tough task ! All the players who are currently under consideration - Vijay, Kohli, Pujara, Pandey , all are quite attacking in nature. Who does have the composure, technique & rock-solid defense like Dravid ? & with T20s getting popular, I think it would be more tough to find such one in near-future either !

i don't think so that, any can takes a place for rahul dravid, because he is undoubtedly, one of the greatest batsmen of test cricket born ever yet, he have excellent defensive technique, he is simply incomparable amongst any other test cricketer, but as a option of replacement and as a cricket lover, i would recommend gautam gambhir, because in recent years, he has been giving consistent performance, so it seems that his future and forthcoming period is quite better

I am pretty sure that Vijay will take the number 3 slot. I would have preferred Vijay and Sehwag opening the innings and Gambhir coming in at number 3. The reason is that with wall out, Gambhir seems to be the right player for the number 3 spot. For Vijay to fill in will be a tough ask as he will be under tremendous pressure if India loose a quick wicket.

i think indian is in not having good time in injuries . i think murali vijay should be the best replacement . he has a good style of play and he is in the midst if a very goos season and has played for india in 2-3 matches which would have jelped him a lot . the place of yuvraj will replaced by badrinath who is a very unlucky player who has been in domestic circuit for a long time without much of a chance in the indian team which he deserved ....let him utilise this chance to good extent .. virat kohli could have been given a chance if laxman is injured but rohitb got it who is also having a goood ranji season .. lets hope that we could play well anf=d maintain our number status .....

I thought it was the the GREAT WALL of China. I didn't know India had a great wall too..pardon my cultural ignorance :(

In that time mostly player of indian team are injured..and in today's morning another one player are injured in practice session.. Rohit Sharma are also injured today.. and VVS Laxman are unfit ..and he doesn't play in first test match.. so here is a big problem for indian team ..to choose player.. I think Dinesh Kartik was best replacement in position of Rahul Dravid.. but unfortunately he didn't nominated in indian team squad.. but Badrinath are in team.. so now if we talk about badrinath.. then i think he can be a good replacement for india in position of Rahul Dravid.. becuase in that time 2-3 players are injured.. so he is the one and last options for india.. but i prefer Dinesh kartik.. unfortunately he in not indian team squad.. so now we have depend on Badrinath.. he makes some good innings in domestic cricket.. but he has not experience of International Test Cricket.. and i wish for him.. that he performs good in test cricket against South Africa.. I think now dravid is not playing then sachin should come at number 3 if openers play really well in the start of their inning others vijay is fine placement at 3.
