Pink Floyd marching band?

It was recently announced that my high school marching band will be doing a Pink Floyd show for our next season. I'm not sure whether to be excited or worried. We will most likely be doing a slightly modified version of the show the University of Arizona did in 1997 (look it up on YouTube), and I love that show, I'm just not entirely sure our band can pull it off. We did Aerosmith last year with an amazing response, but Pink Floyd is an entirely different feel.

Whoa, now there's an interesting concept. I would love to see how a marching band would do Pink Floyd. (I'd love to try and check out YouTube, but on dial up it would take half the night to load lol). Three cheers for your band director, that would seem like it'd be quite an undertaking, not the music, but the formations. My eldest daughter was in band throughout all her high-school years, I would have loved to see them tackle something like that:-) Have fun!

I don't think a marching band could ever get the atmosphere of pink floyd. They could play the music but how would you carry a keyboard to play the right sound? Pink floyd may be one of the hardest bands to duplicate well.
