Lupin is one of those classic animes that you watched when you were a kid. But did you know he did not originate from Japan? Lupin originally came from Europe and was created by Maurice Leblanc. Japan's original phantom thiefs are 20 Faces (Shinji Ohara) and Kaitou-kid (Gosho Aoyama). I thought at first Lupin is a japanese (LOL) but when I read some light novels about this series, I began to think otherwise.
Still, nothing can beat this dork..even inspector Zenigata can't.

Eh? Lupin starred in a video game? I never knew about that. What was his role in the game?
Actually, it wouldn't be too weird if he appeared in a video game or somewhere along those lines because he is famous. Just recently, the creator of Lupin and the Creator of Detective Conan collaborated together for a special OVA. Even though the special ova has nothing special after watching it...it still feels good to see Lupin.

ohhh.. hahaha.... i thought the same... hahaha... always considered lupin as a japanese... hahaha reminds of the old times...

Lupin the Third was one of the very first animes I ever saw and I loved it.

I do recall reading about that somewhere before. But even so, the anime version is still great. I haven't seen much of Lupin but what I've seen it's a really entertaining show. There's always something going on, like Lupin and his gang causing a lot of mayhem and the inspector bumbling around trying to catch them. Lupin is definitely a classic. The sad thing is a lot of the newer fans don't appreciate these classic shows from the 70s and 80s. Their reason being it's old and outdated. All I have to say is that they are really missing out on some good anime. Most of the newer shoes can't even compare.

I love lupin! It's one of my favorite anime. I love how Zenigata can't beat lupin.:)
