as what i understand the lords prayer, its like we know that the lord is in heaven and we praise him. then we know that things will happened according to his will, and to give us his blessing everyday and to forgive all that who sin us as well us our sin to others so we can live a life without doing bad things that will ruin our life specially hurt other people's feeling. and that we must only believe in him as our only god and no one else as he can do all things. but then, our personal prayer still the best prayer coz it comes from our heart and not just be memorize and recited.

Yes, 'The Lord's Prayer' is a very powerful prayer. It is edifying and makes us strong in the face of oppression.

The first verse can mean ' Our Lord who dwells in the Heavens". The second verse talks about the sanctity of the Lord's name. As such it is hallowed and should not be used in vain.The third which is 'Thy kingdom come' means the Lord's kingdom is coming'. The following verse tells us that the Lord's Will is law both in Heaven and on Earth.'Give us this day our daily bread' refers to sustenance for us in all its aspects.

'Forgive our trespasses as we forgive others their trespasses' tells us of the forgiving nature we must inherit from the Lord for that is the wish of God.Then the next verse,"Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil' is an appeal to the Lord that we should be spared the evil temptations.'The final verse,'For Thy is the Kingdom,Power and the glory" is the glorification of the good things to come when the Lord returns.'Amen' means " Let the will of God be done!"
