It's okay to have an assembled one. They cost so much less. Buying branded computers up the cost. I have bought both. They make no difference. The on site service etc are not really important. Warranty is.

Ask yourself what you would be doing with the computer? If it is just for Microsoft applications, any brand will do. Not too expensive-medium range would do. However, if you want to play games, you need one with a good graphic card. If you want to download songs and movies get one with more internal storage space. Anyway, you can have external drives if you should need more storage.

You are so right. Today,violent movies will show the state of art of severed limbs, impaled victims and what not. Just watch 300, Braveheart and Gladiator and you know what I mean. The Tom and Jerry-Popeye violence is tongue in cheek but children grew out of them fast and migrate quickly to online computer games which are equally graphic in showing violence. You can't win them all!
